From the very beginning, the vision was clear: this would be a destination. Not a casual Friday takeaway. Not another neighbourhood diner. A place where you'd book ahead, dress up a little, and arrive expecting to be impressed.

With 90 covers spread across two thoughtfully designed floors — an open, vibrant dining room downstairs and an intimate private space upstairs — Palms was designed for the moments that matter. Birthdays. Anniversaries. First dates that last until closing. The kind of evenings you retell for years.

Before the first booking was made or the first review was written, two women, Gemma and Marva, believed they could create something truly special.
Their vision was built on a deep understanding of Caribbean food, a passion for genuine hospitality, and the belief that Beckenham deserved more than just another restaurant. It deserved an exceptional Caribbean dining experience, delivered with authenticity, warmth and attention to every detail.
